Gifted
Education/Twice Exceptional Children
Ballou Education assist parents who have children that are gifted
and/or Twice Exceptional in a variety of ways. Most parents
need assistance in determining appropriate schools, course planning,
social and emotional growth, and what type of service their
child needs to continue to meet their potential and thrive in
an educational environment. Children who are twice exceptional
often are in need of an IEP or 504 plan to assist in meeting
their educational needs. Ballou Education assists parents in
obtaining services for their twice-exceptional children.
2. Educational Consulting
In some cases parents need assistance in determining the appropriate
school for their child. Ballou Education provides direct consulting
with parents in obtaining and discovering what school would
best meet their child’s needs. Ballou Education will search,
tour, and recommend schools for the child.
3. Parent coaching
Many parents just want our guidance from time to time, such
as reviewing an IEP or an email, advising them on local private
school placements, helping them prepare handouts for a school
meeting, connecting them with community resources, or helping
them develop new strategies for obtaining needed services.
4. Training
Ballou Education provides training on the do’s and don’ts
in IEP, 504 and manifestation meetings. We provide direct training
to the parents regarding their child’s specific case.
